My Permanent Christmas Tree

I have a little Christmas tree in my apartment that I keep up all year long. I realize that this is likely highly objectionable for some. However, for me, it adds some sparkle to my day.

It’s just a small little guy, about two feet tall. It sits on my kitchen counter over in the corner. Each morning, I plug it in and allow its few lights to illuminate the room.

I recognize the oddity of this habit every time I walk over to turn it on. However, I also recognize that doing so enhances my day and makes my living environment just a touch more interesting.

Little habits and traditions like this have proved invaluable for me in creating a space and a lifestyle that I not only enjoy but am excited about.
